Amigos de la Presa is hosting a Mayan Healing Ceremony on Saturday, March 21, beginning at 6 p.m. Meet at the Amigos boathouse at 5:30 p.m. The ceremony will begin on the shore of the Presa Allende — a short walk from the boathouse.
 
The Mayan Healing Ceremony is an ancient celebration held to give thanks to life itself, a blessing we receive upon arriving here on this earth. Additionally, it is a way to express gratitude and recognition for the deep connection we have with the universe, the earth, water, air, and fire.The ceremony will be conducted by Azenet Macedo, a San Miguel resident, who is a healer in the Maya-Quiché Priestess, Shuar Shaman and Lakota Women of Medicine traditions. She is well known for her Mayan healing massage programs at LifePath.  We will be
 
We hope you will join us for this beautiful ceremony, that will grow more powerful with a strong attendance.
 
The ceremony will take place on the water and on shore.  You may elect to either or both. 
  • A 200 pesos/person contribution for the ceremony is suggested and will be collected at the boathouse.
  • 15 kayaks are available for rental on a first come, first serve basis for an additional 200 pesos/kayak.
