APRIL 15, 2018         7:45 AM – 12:30 PM

Join Audubon de México on our April 15 birdwalk. With leaders Luke Rich and Michael Burns, we’ll head to a beautiful spot along the Rio Laja. Last year at this site, we found both lingering winter visitors and year-around residents, including beautiful rarities like a Painted Bunting and a Blue Mockingbird.

Among the late-staying winter visitors we saw were a variety of sparrows and warblers, including Clay-colored and Lark Sparrows and both Yellow-rumped and Nashville Warblers. (We see mainly the western, Aududon’s Yellow-rump, with its bright-yellow throat.) We also found our resident Chipping Sparrows.
