La Vida de las Cachinches is a public art project that invites the community to rediscover and care for the waterway that has supported people and wildlife since time immemorial.
In April 2026, prominent urban artists from San Miguel will transform 90 meters of public walkway within the Arroyo Las Cachinches Art District into an open-air gallery, featuring twelve large-scale murals that celebrate the arroyo’s history, ecology, and enduring presence.
Public art has the power to transform how we see and relate to the places around us. These murals will invite residents and visitors to experience Las Cachinches as a living thread connecting nature, culture, and community. By making both its history and the life it supports visible and accessible, the walkway becomes a space for learning, reflection, and inspiration—while also encouraging environmental stewardship through meaningful actions such as planting native species for birds and pollinators, and caring for the landscape.

En abril de 2026, destacados artistas urbanos de San Miguel transformarán 90 metros de andador público dentro del Distrito de Arte del Arroyo Las Cachinches en una galería al aire libre, con doce murales de gran formato que celebran la historia, la ecología y la presencia perdurable del arroyo.
El arte público tiene el poder de transformar la manera en que vemos y nos relacionamos con los lugares que nos rodean. Estos murales invitarán a residentes y visitantes a experimentar Las Cachinches como un hilo vivo que conecta la naturaleza, la cultura y la comunidad.
